Testimonials

“I have been a client of Mary Beth’s for over eight years. She is a wonderful, caring and compassionate professional who is committed to improving my physical health and overall well-being.  The one hour massage that I receive from Mary Beth every three weeks, and the e-mails, phone calls from her for any necessary follow-ups, enable this baby-boomer to remain active and energized. I highly recommend her!

What is an Integrative Health Coach?

Posted by: Mary Beth Braun   |   Tuesday, January 10, 2012

You know the drill - You go to your Physician for your annual check up, he or she examines you, makes recommendations to lose weight, lower your blood pressure or cholesterol, reduce your stress - they write a prescription and tell you they'll see you next time.

Next time rolls around, you've gained more weight, blood pressure and cholesterol is about the same or needs adjustment and your stress level is elevated further still - your Physician tells you once again to lose weight, etc., adjusts your medication and sends you on your way.

With Physicians, in general, having a decreased ability to spend the necessary time with you to educate and offer accountability to you on the lifestyle changes necessary to achieve and sustain the outcomes of lost weight, lowered blood pressure, lowered stress, etc., there is an ever increasing gap in health care.

An Integrative Health Coach can help fill this gap.

A Health Coach creates dynamic partnerships with people to achieve their optimal health via the following:

  • discovering and knowing themselves and their current state of health
  • clarifying their personal health vision
  • providing support in achieving specific health goals
  • sustaining lifestyle behaviors for a lifetime
  • partnering with physicians to reduce the impact of chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes or cancer

This dynamic partnership may help you change your perspective and open your eyes to possibilities you never imagined for yourself and your health.

Bottomline, if you don't have your health, you will not be living the quality of life you deserve.
