Testimonials

Mary Beth is the best massage therapist around.  She understands how to work the aches and pains out of your body.  When I met her I was a complete disbeliever on the concept.  Now I will not live without a massage from her.  I was having significant pain in the muscles in my chest.  After some analysis of watching me sit at work, she determined my body was way out of alignment and the muscles were very twisted.  Six months later, after regular massages, the pain has vanished.  I will not go without my regular massage.

Are you overwhelmed or balanced?

Are you overwhelmed or in balance in your work and life?  In the fast paced, noisy world we live in, I'm guessing that your answer is most likely no.  I recently read a very interesting exercise that I want to share with you.   Close your eyes, take a deep breath and imagine you are 95 years old.  What personal and professional advice would the wise, older you give your younger you.  Take a moment and write down that advice to yourself. Once you've done that, then take some time to reflect on if your current life reflects this advice.

Along the same lines, there were a couple of studies conducted that reveal similar results that will help you contemplate your own work - life balance.  One study was conducted with dying people and one with 200 high-potential leaders in 120 countries around the world.  The results were:

1. Do not tell yourself, "I'll be happy when..." -- find meaning and happiness NOW.

2. Do not put off spending quality time with your friends and family --- These relationships matter NOW.

3. Do not put off following your dreams --- Live your dream life NOW.

The message is simple --- begin seeking and living a more balanced life now.  The execution of this may be challenging, however, I promise it will be worth it!
